Did you know... Comic strips originated in America in 1867 with the publication of The Yellow Kid. The first daily comic strip appeared in England in 1896. It was about two tramps (unemployed homeless people) drawn by Tom Browne. The hell raising Katzenjammer Kids appeared in 1897 in The USA and was the forerunner of famous comic strips published in American papers. Comic strips did not appear regularly in Australia until 1920.
