In The Yellow Studio
I'm pleased to say I have two prints in exhibitions about to start.
GLORIOUS SUMMER is a three plate color etching. The image size is 8.5cms x 6.5cms and it is hand printed in a limited edition of 6 on Stonehenge paper. The landscape is based on a drawing I did last summer while on a sketching day around the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. It was a hot day I remember. The exhibition is Compact Prints 2018 Organized by Umbrella Studio in Townsville, Queensland. It showcases 175 prints by Australian and international artists. It is on from 17 August.
FOUR DAYS AT HARDWICKE BAY is a group of four etchings each 11cms x 6.5cms in size. Each are hand printed in editions of 5 on Stonehenge paper. These resulted from observation drawings done each day of a short holiday my wife and I took to Hardwicke Bay, Yorke Peninsular, recently. The landscapes/seascapes are based on the view from, or very close to, the holiday 'shack' we started in. This has been chosen as a finalist in the Gallery M Contemporary art Prize 2018 which opens on 12 August.
