New work in the gallery. 10/8/2019.
TRIGGS. This is a two plate etching. The image size is 7cms x 11cms and is hand printed in a limited edition of 5 on acid free Stonehenge paper.
Triggs is a popular surfing spot on the mid south coast about 40 minutes drive from Adelaide. In my youth I spent many hours there surfing the small reef break. This image is based on the view of the cliffs along this section of coast seen from the water as I waited for the waves. I also spent many weekend nights sleeping on the beach here as the best waves were most often early in the morning. and it was also a good way to beat a lot of the crowds if the surf was really good.
This print is a two plate etching. A copper plate with hard ground was used for the black and a cardboard plate was used for the colour. It was produced as part of an exhibition I held at the Onkaparinga community gallery in Port Noarlunga in 2017.
POOL 7. A three colour reduction lino print. The image size is 14cms x 19cms and is hand printed in a limited edition of 6 on acid free Stonehenge paper.
This was one of a series of prints I did on pools and ponds. This particular pool and overhanging foliage is based on a spot in the Adelaide Botanical Gardens. My wife and I often visit the gardens for a leisurely, peaceful walk and this peace and tranquility was the mood I tried to communicate in the image. This print was also part of an exhibition I held at Gallery M i Adelaide in 2018.
Both editions a now available for purchase in my online gallery. Click Here for more details
