The last week for me has been had me doing a variety of things in the studio. I have been working preparing images for prints to enter into group exhibitions and or print prizes in the new year, and a small online exhibition of still life dry point prints for my online gallery.
The drawings/sketches in the lower half of the above photo are images ready for transfer to either copper plates for etchings or perspex plates for dry point etchings. The images above are proof prints ready to be editioned. The proof print at top left is one of the still life prints for my online exhibition coming in the new year.
These two pages from my sketch book are ideas for work for two different print prizes although the kangaroo paw subject I'm not sure I will use. The patio shadows design I will use as an etching for a solar art prize competition.
These sketches a images from the Adelaide park lands near where the River Torrens flows along. I like the small sketch in the bottom right which I will work on a little more for an etching to enter into The Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize.
The print prizes are good to enter as they take me out of my comfort zone in most cases at least with the subject matter.
Lastly a page from my sketch book of drawings just for the fun of it.
